MICHAEL B. SOSNA, RETIRED

Michael Sosna served clients for nearly fifty years before retiring in 2018. Before Mr. Sosna concentrated his practice in bankruptcy law, he provided legal services in a wide variety of cases and used that vast experience in different areas of law to the benefit of his bankruptcy clients.

During his legal career, Mr. Sosna appeared in both state and federal courts, including the North Carolina Court of Appeals, North Carolina Superior and District Courts, the United States Bankruptcy Court, the United States District Court, and the United States Circuit Court. He has years of experience in domestic law, social security disability law, personal injury law, wills and estate law, employment/labor law, real property law, state and federal appellate practice, and criminal law.

Mr. Sosna began to focus his legal practice exclusively on bankruptcy law in 2002, founding the firm Sosna Law Offices, PLLC in 2008. Since that time, he represented thousands of clients in all varieties of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, from the simple to the complex. In 2018, Mr. Sosna retired from the active practice of law and became “of counsel” to the firm. In 2022, Mr. Sosna retired from the practice of law and Mr. Huffstetler became the sole owner of the firm.
